On April 2, 2023, New Yorkers will vote in the Presidential Primary. New York is a closed primary state, so voters must register with a political party participating in the primary to vote. The deadline to register to vote, update your address or request an absentee ballot online or by mail is Saturday, March 23rd.
Early voting will run from Saturday, March 23rd to Sunday, March 31st. To find your early voting and Election Day polling location, click here. Absentee ballots must be returned to poll sites or postmarked by Election Day and received by Tuesday, April 2nd.
Primary elections for Congressional seats will occur in June, and the general election is set for November 5th.
