MTA President Patrick Foye spoke at this morning’s 150th CityLaw Breakfast at New York Law School. Foye was introduced for Professor Ross Sandler, Director of the Center for New York City Law, with remarks by Dean Anthony W. Crowell.
MTA President Foye spoke on the MTA’s infrastructure, repairing credibility among customers, financial challenges, and the NYC Subway Action Plan. In speaking about the Subway Action Plan, MTA President Foye stated that major incidents and outages are down, but there’s an expectation that these numbers can still be lowered. He also spoke on several innovative initiatives such as the use of drones in the subway tunnels and using 3D printers to create parts of subway equipment that are no longer in production.
