On Friday, April 11, 2014, the Center for New York City Law, at New York Law School hosted a City Law Breakfast, featuring Zachary Carter, Corporation Counsel for the City of New York, as the guest speaker. Mr. Carter’s speech was entitled, “The Law Department-Future Plans.”
Mr. Carter was introduced by Ross Sandler, Professor of Law and Director of the Center for NYC Law, and Anthony Crowell, Dean and President of New York Law School. Mr. Carter spoke about and answered questions on a number of topics including Stop and Frisk, the benefits of training for legal management positions, and how the courtroom is a poor place to make policy. Carter noted the major challenge of aligning litigation and legal support with the changes in policy by the new Administration.
