City Planning Renews Senior Center Lease

Long-term lease renewal coupled with study for improvements.  On May 6, 2015 the City Planning Commission approved Amico Senior Center’s lease renewal for twenty years.  The center is located at 5901 13th Avenue in Borough Park, Brooklyn.  Amico has continuously operated as a senior center at that location since 1973.


City Planning Approves Conversion of Historic District Building

CPC Approves New Affordable Housing Building in The Bronx

The building will be targeted to low-income and homeless individuals or families.  On April 1, 2015 the City Planning Commission voted to approve an application by the Department of Housing Preservation and Development facilitating construction of a new affordable housing building in The Bronx.  The building will be located at 1561 Walton Avenue in West Concourse, and feature sixty units of rental housing for low-income and homeless individuals and families.


City Planning Approves One Vanderbilt Project With Modifications

CPC Authorizes New JLWQA Units in Historic District

Authorization permits conversion of retail space in two buildings to JLWQA.  On February 18, 2015 the City Planning Commission voted to grant Workspace, Inc. authorization to convert existing retail space into three designated Joint Live-Work Quarters for Artists units and related storage.  The units will be located on the ground floor and in the cellar space of two buildings in the SoHo-Cast Iron Historic District of Manhattan, between 106 and 112 Spring Street.
